Terms of Service
Last updated September 6, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Learn The Quote at learnthequote.com. By using the service or purchasing a review, you agree to these terms. Learn The Quote provides an independent, informational review of contractor quotes and proposals.
The service
Learn The Quote offers one-time document review services: a review of one contractor quote ($39) or a side-by-side comparison of two quotes for the same project ($59). Reviews are produced from the documents and information you supply and are delivered as a report through a private link.
What Learn The Quote is not
Learn The Quote is an informational document review. It is important that you understand the limits of the service:
- We do not provide legal, engineering, or architectural advice.
- We do not perform property inspections or site visits.
- We do not provide appraisals or valuations.
- We do not guarantee any contractor's workmanship.
- We do not verify contractor licensing, insurance, reputation, or qualifications unless explicitly stated in a report.
- We do not guarantee that a contractor's price is fair or unfair.
- We do not tell you which contractor to hire.
- We do not guarantee savings of any amount.
- We do not guarantee that every issue in a proposal will be detected.
Reports are based only on the documents and information you provide. You remain responsible for deciding whether to sign a contract, hire a contractor, negotiate terms, obtain legal or other professional advice, or proceed with a project.
Eligibility and your responsibilities
You must be an adult able to enter a contract to use the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the documents you upload. By uploading a document, you confirm that you have the right to share it with us and you give us permission to process it to provide the review you purchased.
Purchases and payment
Each review is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, free plans, or recurring charges. Prices are shown before you pay and are processed through third-party payment infrastructure. Your order is complete when payment succeeds, and your Learn The Quote reference number identifies your order.
Report delivery
Reports are delivered through a private link sent to the email address you provide. You are responsible for keeping that link private. If you lose access to your report, contact us and we can help restore it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by:
- Uploading documents you have no right to share
- Uploading malicious files or attempting to disrupt the service
- Attempting to access other customers' documents, reports, or account information
- Using the service for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual property
The Learn The Quote site, brand, and report formats belong to us. Your uploaded documents remain yours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use your report for your own decision-making.
Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers for hosting, storage, payment processing, document processing, and email delivery. We are not responsible for the independent acts or policies of those providers, though we choose them carefully and use them only as needed to operate the service.
Service availability
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical issues, or provider outages may occasionally affect access. If a technical failure prevents us from providing a review you paid for, our Refund Policy applies.
Disclaimers
Reports are provided for informational purposes only, based on the documents supplied. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in a report is a promise about the outcome of your project, your negotiation, or any contractor's performance.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Learn The Quote's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the review giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including project costs, delays, or decisions made in reliance on a report. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, we want to hear about it first — contact us at support@learnthequote.com and we will try to resolve the issue with you directly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you other rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its revision date. Terms in effect when you purchase apply to that purchase.
